Tulip Festival!

Just a reminder to stop by our booth at the Tulip Festival Street Fair on April 16-18th in downtown Mount Vernon! We will be fundraising, sharing our scrapbooks from the 2009 Breast Cancer 3 Day and selling Pink Ribbon items, too. Rumor has it that we will have some yummy baked goods from The Cake Box!

Our GIGANTIC Garage Sale is on for Saturday, June 26th in Mount Vernon. We will also have a follow up Garage Sale in Anacortes sometime in August.

Beautiful Sunday walk

Sunday was a perfect day for a walk! It seems as if Old Man Winter just skidded by us. Last year we had several blizzards, more snow than normal for us. This year we've been fortunate to have "mostly" sunny weather. SSSSHHHH, don't tell anyone, but it really doesn't rain all the time in the Pacific Northwest.

Five of us walked the Washington Park loop for a total of 7 hilly miles! We started early to avoid some of the traffic that is allowed on the loop after 10 a.m. We clocked 2 hours and twenty minutes of walking time.

Walking as a group is not only fun, but we motivate each other to keep going. During our training we will log at least 700 miles before the 3 Day walk!

These are the two beautiful youngsters on our team; Hillary & Nikki.

We really do live in a beautiful place; so much to see, hear and smell during our walks. The trees, plants and wildlife are amazing. On our way back home, a beautiful Eagle flew right in front of us, not 10 feet from the windshield. Such magnificent creatures!
